Program Representation, Communication and Education

  • Our Energy Efficiency Advisors (EEAs) conduct themselves with utmost professionalism.
  • Our EEAs are equipped with identification badges, mobile devices, and program materials.
  • Participant information is captured digitally using our secure SSL Ditrak software.
  • We personally deliver any promotional and/or program materials directly to end-use customers on behalf of our utilities.
  • Whenever possible, EEAs take advantage of opportunities to educate participants in energy efficiency.

Data Management

RD Energy Solutions’ Energy Efficiency Advisors (EEAs) use the Ditrak Data Management System to help streamline the data capture and reporting process. This iPad application allows the EEAs to gather snapshot audit and measure installation information and review the data in real-time. The application captures a signature of the business or home owner, uploads the data to a web-based backend database, and exports a PDF report with the business/home owner’s signature.

  • Ditrak’s Snapshot Audits include contact information, fuel type, email address, signature and more than 100 other possible data points.
  • Ditrak is much more accurate and efficient than other applications because it is fully customizable for any specific data points a utility and/or company would like to capture.
  • Data can be used to update CIS systems as well as helping with future outreach marketing and communication.

EEAs who perform snapshot audits can take time to discuss current energy/gas usage history with customers and provide them with information about other energy and gas efficiency programs. Upon arriving at appointments, a customized packet of educational and informational material can be provided to each customer.

RD Energy Solutions is able to perform the following tests:

Insulation Check:  EEAs can perform a physical inspection of the attic, wall, and floor insulation to see if the Multi-Family qualifies for insulation incentives.

Appliance Inventory:  EEAs can take inventory of customer appliances for plug load data. They can assess the general age, style and type of most major appliances, specifically if they are more or less than 5 years old.

Window Check:  EEAs can assess customer’s windows and record whether they are single- or double-pane.

Weather Stripping Check:  EEAs can determine whether the Multi-Family has effective weather stripping around outside doors. If the customer has defective weather stripping or is lacking it altogether, EEAs can install weather stripping for the customer.

Sink and Shower GPM Test:  EEAs can perform gallons per minute (GPM) faucet flow tests on all showers, kitchen sinks and bathroom sinks and replace the aerators or showerheads with water-efficient counterparts.

Water Heater Fuel Verification:  EEAs can determine water heat fuel type as well as water heater size.

Heating System Fuel Verification:  EEAs can determine primary and secondary (if applicable) heating fuel and delivery system(s), i.e., furnace, heat pump, etc.

LED Lighting Replacement:  EEAs can replace incandescent and CFL lighting with LEDs in high-usage areas. EEAs are also able to match the type and style of existing incandescent and CFL lighting with comparable LED styles and lumen output.

Showerhead Installation:  EEAs can replace existing showerheads with a flow of 2.5 GPM or greater with 2.0 GPM high-performance showerheads.

Rebate and Recommendations:  EEAs can make specific recommendations to help increase the customer’s general energy and water efficiency awareness. EEAs can review the utilities’ efficiency materials that pertain to the customer’s specific needs and encourage the customer to participate in the appropriate utility efficiency program(s).
